It’s March 17 and you know what that means. That’s right. It’s Saint Patrick’s Day. It’s the one day of the year when the entire world is Irish (even though Saint Patrick himself wasn’t, but that’s a story for a different day.)
St. Paddy’s Day (not “St. Patty’s Day) was always one of Cindy’s favorite holidays. She was always so proud of her Irish heritage and her favorite color was, of course, green. So, it is a special day for us. I even wore a green shirt today. It’s the first time that I’ve worn something other than black to work since Cindy passed away.
Since today is a special day, and we are all sons and daughters of the emerald isle, I would like to leave you with this blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Have a great day.
