I just love looking up at the stars. I always have. When we first moved out to San Tan Valley, the clear night sky was one of the first things I fell in love with. With no street lights, the stars really shine. It’s something that I didn’t get to see while living in the greater Phoenix area.
This morning, as I was getting in my car to drive to work, I stopped and looked up at the night sky. That’s one of the perks of leaving for work at zero dark thirty. Anyway, I looked up and just stood in awe for a few moments. It’s amazing how the vastness of the universe can put even our biggest problems into perspective.
As I stood there I realized that some of twinkling stars I was seeing actually sent that light years, or even centuries, ago. Some might not even exist now. Wow! That is such an awesome and humbling thought. The biggest problem I have today, won’t even be a “twinkle” years from now. Why am I getting so agitated over something that is only temporary.
Looking at the stars always lifts my spirits and refreshes my hope. As I loaded my stuff into the car, I felt my mood improve. I think it’s going to be a great day.
I hope your day is wonderfully awesome as well. Remember to take some time just to look at the stars.
