I know this post is a little earlier than normal, but I love Wednesday. Who doesn’t? It’s “hump day!” We’re at the mid-point of the week. The dreary start of the week is behind us and the glorious weekend is starting to come into view. What’s not to love?
This morning didn’t start off so splendidly, however.
I rolled out of bed 45 minutes late and asked my Amazon Echo for the temperature. “She” replied, “Currently in San Tan Valley, it’s 30 degrees.” What the heck is that? This is the Arizona desert. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to put on my jacket and turn the heat on in the car. Yes, I do complain about such “first world” problems, but only jokingly.
When I walked out to my car, there was actually frost on my moon roof. Oh well. I guess I won’t open it and let the wind whip through my scalp this morning. Darn it!
My 50 mile drive to work was like an obstacle course. Overnight, someone had decided to do a lot more road construction. There were barricades and “keep right/keep left” signs everywhere! It was ridiculous. I’m not kidding. It was so bad that I nearly wept when I found five miles of normal, unobstructed road.
Anyway, I made it to work and had my coffee and Belvita Breakfast Biscuit (Golden Oat flavor). So, this “hump day” is off to a pretty good start after all.
