I’ve always been a big fan of doing “random acts of kindness,” doing something good for someone with no expectation of getting anything in return. It’s kind of my life’s M.O. It brings me so much joy. Recently, however, Kevin and I have been on the receiving end of things. People have really reached out to bless us.
It all began on Saturday when Kevin and I went to one of our favorite breakfast restaurants, The Queen Creek Cafe. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast as we always do, but we were really surprised to find that someone had anonymously picked up our check. How great is that?! I was very touched. I’ve picked up many checks over the years, but it still touches me when others do that for me. It’s true, you really do reap what you sow.
Then, just yesterday, we called our favorite mechanic service, Hines Mechanical Services, because Cindy’s Camry wouldn’t start. Apparently, we hadn’t been driving it enough to keep the battery charged. Aaron came out, got the car running and told us what to do to keep it that way. When my son went to pay him, Aaron said “no charge” since it was a simple fix and only took a few minutes. I have always enjoyed excellent service from Hines Mechanical Services and I highly recommend them to anyone in the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley area. You can bet your bottom dollar that I have them on speed dial in my phone.
It has been simply amazing how blessed we have been this week. We will do our best to continue to pay it forward.
I hope you’re being blessed and that you’re blessing others as well. Have a great day.
